My original ring lasted 4 years. The cheapos from home depot only lasted a week or so. Some expensive white orings from home espresso repair ($1 each!) lasted about 1.5 years apiece.
Late last year I ordered a 100 pack of red silicon orings from Grainger, $10, supposed to be good to 450f. They are slightly small but holding fine. I'm happy to mail some out but probably cheaper to source your own locally. Orings I got are Grainger part 1REA9, size is 'dash 005' made by rtdygert.
