Thanks for the suggestions.. I think the solenoid makes the most sense to me, because I have moved the water sensor up and down to no effect, and I know I have had issues with the solenoid in the past. Basically it froze in one position, so I disassembled it and polished the metal slider inside the valve and reassembled it. That was a few years ago, so it would not surprise me if that DIY fix did not last.
Anybody know what the solenoid assembly is called if I call WLL and try to get a new one? I guess I was never sure what its function was exactly… > On Feb 24, 2016, at 7:25 AM, John Brinkman <[email protected]> wrote: > > Your water level could be too high, will result in a wetter steam. > > Drop the level down a bit by pushing the sensor in, this will result in the > pump stopping sooner when adding water into the tank. > > Is it possible that the sensor was moved out slightly? > > The sensor is a steel rod with a connector on the top stick out the top of > the steam boiler, has a seal on it so it shouldn't be able to move in/out > very easily. > > > JohnB > > > > On Sun, Feb 21, 2016 at 12:35 AM, herman dickens <[email protected] > <mailto:[email protected]>> wrote: > I was having steaming problems with my BII a few months back and it ended up > being the controller.
