Thanks for the suggestions folks. After a bit of additional diagnosing, the behaviour is still there. I've booked the machine in for servicing so hopefully that'll resolve things and provide some answers.
In the meantime, the machine is working though the pump will play up and won't work. It's weird. I open up the machine, don't really do anything inside and then close her back up and the pump works fine again. For a while. Then repeat. Weird. I'll report back after the servicing.
