I'd watch it for a few days. With normal plumbing (sink, shower, etc), it would 
seal as you used soap etc but with just water, I suspect it will get worse with 
time. Perhaps give the thin nut a bit more of a tweak and you may get lucky if 
it pulls into the tape you have there already.
