At this point the diagnosing the problem can be difficult if you are not used to working electricity. So if you are read below. If not then you may want to think about sending it in.
The first thing to check is the high limit on top of the boiler. Unplug the machine and push the red button and then try again to see if it work. If not, pull the wires off of it and use an ohm meter to check to continuity. If you don't have continuity then replace it. That may fix the issue. If not: I am also thinking that the relay inside the Digital controller is not closing. There are a few ways you can test this. 1. If you have a voltmeter and are familiar with its use. When the steam boiler is hot and the red light turns off check voltage between 8 and 9 and the AKO digital controllerler. If the relay is closed you will read no volts, if the relay is open then you will read around 110 volts and it will probably have to be replaced. We do not have them so maybe someone on the group can located one for you. If not you will need PID upgrade kit. Or 1. If you can measure voltage between either 8 and the copper on the boiler or 9 and the copper boiler when the steam boiler is hot and the red light is off, you can pull the wires off number and 8 and 9 and wire nut them together. And then plug the machine on and after the steam boiler heats again the brew boiler should start to heat. DON'T leave it like this or the boiler will overheat. Note: Always unplug the machine when working on the wires. What do you think?
