Agreed. I bought my B2 (already pid upgraded) 7 years ago for $700. It was
fairly well maintained but over the years I've had to replace wires,
pressurestat, pump, safety valve and controller. Most recently was a
complete e61 cleaning and seal replacement.

Over time, I'd expect to do work on it.
