The end switch behind the lever is probably stuck on. When you raise the lever the cam on lever pushes on the switch which turns on the pump. When you raise the lever up and down should be able to hear it click. If you take a butter knife and push on it a few times it it may loosen it up. If you take off the housing and pull one of the wires off and the the pump stops then its the switch. (make sure the machine is unplugged when touching anything electrical) Possible it could be a board but I would not consider that yet.
