OK, that all sounds normal to me. The machine is a vibe pump, correct? Again, I’m working from memory here, but there is a solenoid that switches water flow from the steam boiler to the brew boiler. I’m thinking that if that’s stuck, the pump would be continuously pressurizing the brew boiler (thus your 10 bar pressure), and the OPV would be allowing water to flow back to the reservoir as designed. And, the steam boiler would never fill and then heat, as you’ve described, since water isn’t getting there.
That’s my bet at this point. I’ve had mine get sticky from scale, and even when I cleaned it, it had enough wear to still malfunction. It’s a pretty easy part to replace, but I’ll be curious if Todd has more ideas. I didn’t even think of the lever switch! b > On Nov 9, 2018, at 07:52, Arman <[email protected]> wrote: > > Hi bmc, > yes, the cable looks good, I also took it of and touched it - pump still goes. > When I open the group the brew pressure drops, yes. and when I do that almost > no water comes back through the returning hose to the water tank (when the > group is closed the a constant stream of water comes back through the hose > into the watertank).
