I had the same problem 2 days ago, it happened after making 8 cups Americano in row. it was like the first time my machine getting such a big task in 12 years or so. the pump keep pumping the water in and the temp went up to 105 celcius it didn't stop meanwhile I heard the water was boiling inside already. Turned it off for about 5 minutes, turned it on again, still boiling and raise the temp above 100 again. Yesterday I decided to turn it on and see if it really gave up on me, and it was OK. So, today I'm making 2 cups again like I do everyday for 12years.
