It would be nice if it were just the gauge giving me trouble but I have a feeling there’s more going on internally. No issues with leaking, time to temp, or plumbing. I think may be the rotary pump or capacitor but I need to put a meter on it to see if that’s the problem. It looks like all original parts from 2017 so, based on the number of “pump replacement” threads out there, it may be related. are the shots not pulling correctly or normally?
do you think it's just the gauge that's failed, or are shots not pulling right and you think there's an actually pressure issue?
also - any other symptoms to narrow it down? e.g. water dripping out the overpressure valve, pid not reaching temp or taking a long time? any other changes with the water plumbing like adding a water filter, pressure drop elsewhere?

The gauge on my Brewtus IV has always been a bit off. When warm and idle it reads about 3 bars. When pulling it reads about 8 then ramps to about 10. I’ve not been too worried about the actual pressure because, based on shot time and shot quality, it all seemed ok. Maybe I’ve been wrong the whole time but recently the pressure has really dropped closer to 5-6 with no ramp up during the pull.
I guess it’s time to address the gauge and the pump, pressure stat, or what ever is controlling the brew pressure. Any advice would be most welcome!
