Scalia, by the way, with Al Gore's vote in a 98-0 landslide. Thomas with
a Democratic controlled Congress.

Not so fast. The hot rumour is that Scalia will retire if Bush gets
elected, for no other reason than he simply hates his job.
If that happens, Bush would be forced to avoid naming a David Souter to
Scalia's seat, and then still hope that one of the liberals retired for him
to hit the lotto again with a second conservative appointment.
