Actually, I don't think Nader was the spoiler that people thought/think he
is. Upon analysis, and reviewal of some exit polls, it seems that in
Florida, Nader supporters would have split almost down the middle, with half
of the ones that would vote voting for Gore and the other half voting for
Bush. The majority of Nader supporters did favor Gore, but keep in mind as
well, come election day ~50% of Nader's suporters switched camps to Al Gore,
so the remaining Nader votes split almost straight down the middle.


I dunno Michael. Nader pulled 96,000 votes. I find it extremely difficult to believe that if Nader was not on the ballot, the Al Gore would not pull 2,000 more of those votes than George W.

Sorry - but as Nader said today, he got exactly what he wanted. Maybe this scare (and likely loss) will force the Democrats to further respect their liberal base.
