This is a pure strawman.

Essentially you argue:

Conservatives believe in limiting federal control over the States.
Therefore, conservatives can never support federal control over the States.

That is just blatantly ridiculous.

Even conservatives admit that a Constitution is essential to a federal system, where a federal Supreme Court can use that Constitution to limit abuses of power by the States. Without such limits, any federal system will result in implosion.
