And that the filmmakers interviewed for that "The Making of BTTF2" special
were kidding. You really think someone could possibly invent an antigravity
device* and sit on the idea for 15 years because it might be used to make
dangerous kids toys?
They used wires and trick shots, they just did a pretty good job.

at high speed. There are furniture/equipment movers that lift very heavy
things a few mm off a flat solid surface by using air pressure, but that's
not what the movie portrayed.
