They make little slide-out trays for the keyboard, at a lower height than
the desk top (or workstation surface) that can be installed on most desks.
If you have a center drawer, you can't do that; but if there's a center
drawer, maybe opening it and placing the keyboard on it will help at least
a little bit.

I like having the keyboard on the desk, but elevating the monitor and my
seat.  (And I've got crap under my desk that'll work as footrest matter.)
