Let me refresh your memory:
"Not at all. I was merely demonstrating that of what I regard as the most
important technological innovations, not one was from the states."

You clearly attempted to argue (although IMHO yes, you weren't serious)
that the US made no important technological inventions.

I didn't say that they led the world.  I said that they were "at the
forefront."    Based on the technological record I included in my last post
- I think that that statement is more than justified.
