You have a very peculiar definition of agreeing with me.  Indeed, I did not
realize you were agreeing with me, and at least two others apparently did
not either.

I went back and reread your post.   You spent the first part re-asserting
your points, and then at the end, made a mild concession statement.   It
was very difficult to reconcile the top with the bottom.  

In particular, you wrote: "I was pointing out that of the most
important inventions, many, if not most, of them came from elsewhere in the
world. "

No matter how you slice it Charlie, I strongly disagree with this statement
- and as long as you held to it, agreement between us was not possible on
this issue.

Actually, I have repeatedly acknowledged America's flaws from the beginning
of this discussion.   If there is a point that you wished me to concede - I
am unaware of the specifics of it.

This is a brand new issue, both in terms of the timeframe, and also in the
assertion of there being a *single* leader (as opposed to a group of
leaders at the forefront) - and one I was unaware we were discussing.  (And
yes, the second issue was opened in my post on America being "not just
another country" - but not before then.)
