Hmm, here's a thought. Rather than handing them everything on a platter, 
maybe we should let all Americans take an exam on "Cultures & Customs of 
<country of destination>" whenever they go abroad. The exam will start once 
the plane has taken off; any American who fails the exam will not be 
allowed into the country, but sent back on the first available flight back 
to the US.   :)
