That's fair enough.  Your English is at a level where one rarely thinks of
translation difficulties.  Conform means to match the norms near exactly.
Adapt means recognizing the different enviroment and use that information to
guide one's behavior.  For example, in Venezuala conforming means rarely
being on time for meetings.  Adapting is realizing that other people will
often be late.
