Considering that...
..most machine guns run with a 30 round magazine
..the ROF on most, when set to full auto, is roughly 8-12 rounds per sec
(depending on model)
..the notoriously horrid accuracy of all automatic weapons (which is why
I don't complain when they shoot at heros in movies and the hero
survives unscathed)
..I seriously doubt it was an accident - although it could've been -
those things can empty magazines in a HURRY.. but /still/.. its dubious.
