The steak isn't all that great, either, at least that's my husband's
opinion. The burgers aren't very good for sit-down burgers -- I had 3
sit-down cheeseburgers one week and the one at Outback was the worst.
(The one at Grady's was the best, and the one at that weird restaurant in
Charlottesville with the Cincinnati chili was in between the other two in
quality, and reasonably good.) They do a decent vegetable medley. If Dan
gets a hankering for shrimp it's not a bad place to go for that.
The decor is Australian travel posters and such. It's gimmicky, but they
have food that we'll eat reasonably happily and it's a lot closer to us
than our big favorites for places to have dinner out together.
Now, if we're going to have STEAK, the best place we've tried in Austin is
Texas Land & Cattle. (At least I think maybe it's better than the steak
at City Grill; not having had anything at City Grill besides the lemon
pepper chicken, which is really good, I can't say for sure.)
