I would think that Reno, who was so new to the job at the time that she
probably had to ask directions to get to the john, deserves a little bit of a
break. The investigation that led to the assault had to have begun under the
auspices of the Bush administration, and I imagine that most of the personnel
at both ATF and Justice were still carryovers.
