The quote of 30k for a network connected system was not questioned. It is
consistant with calculations that I made. What I, and I'm pretty sure Erik,
am questioning are the reports of the dangers inherent in nuclear power.
But, as an aside, I'd look carefully at any claims made in a government
advocacy website. I'd want to cross check those claims against other
sources. Not calling the Dutch government liars, just thinking that every
advocacy group does put spin on their message.
Since I don't read Dutch, I can't check methodology directly. But, I can
and did cross check the figures you gave. They are consistant with data
from other sources, so they are probably in the ball park. Prudence would
dictate putting these numbers on the lower end of the range of costs
(everything always takes longer and costs more), but that does not decrease
the credibility of the site.
However, that doesn't affect the main question of credibility. Where is
credible evidence that Western nuclear power plants have caused health
difficulties and/or death?
