Its not surprising to me that you don't understand Christianity.
Some of the most revered people in Christian History are known as the
"martyrs", the people who found something that was more valuable than their
own life - and thus gave their own life willingly for that thing. I
don't see how giving my life for $0.5 - $1 billion in food, medicine, and
housing for the poor is anything but a very Christian act.
