Hi there, dean.

Thanks for making a hard decision much easier. JDG I can deal with and
even on occasion enjoy fencing with: you're annoying, boring, and loud,
and sadly you seem to be setting the tone for the list these days. I deal
with enough arrogant, close-minded, verbally abusive and excessively
righteous people on a daily basis that I don't see any reason why I
should have to deal with them once I get through my day.

FYI: Passing off your verbal abuse as "decency" doesn't make it any
better, particularly when you *diliberately* state that you will not
respond to replies. This is not honesty, this is a cowardly blow followed
by a transparent attempt to take the moral high ground and at the same
time keep your opponents from striking back. You are deliberately- in
this case and in others- attempting to shift the tone of a discussion
which you don't feel you can win to personal attacks and snide remarks
rather than responding rationally or, God forbid, admitting you might be
wrong. I've seen two-year olds with more maturity than you have, so far,
displayed upon this list.

Feel free to respond to me off-list if you feel I'm being unfair. But
don't expect any reply to what you post on-list. I won't see it.

Well, it's been a good four years, guys. Somebody drop me a line if the
list ever lends itself to actual debate again.
