What I don't understand is how one can equate "one person" with "the List."
Unfortunately, that seems to have become increasingly common as of late.
If you don't like one person's particular style, filter their messages.
Even *I* have done that from time to time when there have been posters I
did not feel like dealing with. To me, leaving the List because of one
person seems silly. Even if there is someone you can't deal with - this
List still has the occasional update from DB, the erratic Glory Season
discussion (I know, I know.... :), and so many other people engaging in
productive civlized discussion.
This List was *meant* to be diverse. With that great diversity, there is
necessarily going to be styles that grate on you from time to time.
That's diverse discussion. I just wonder how so many people can join, and
then claim to leave because there is an "Otherness" that they just can't
tolerate any more, and throw away so many good things with the few bad
experiences.
