According to the original Trek history, Robert April was the FIRST captain
of the Enterprise (the same starship that Kirk commanded) and then
Christopher Pike and then Kirk. Yes, I realize that it is pitiful that I
know that!

I understand that there needs to be some "artistic license", but the
franchise holders have been more than anal about history and continuity in
the books and stories. I am surprised that they threw that out the door.

But on the other hand, I suppose that it was necessary to call this ship
"Enterprise" so that it clearly ties in with the rest of the series. Putting
aside those minor details (and they really are minor), I am looking forward
to this series.

In the trailer "Ent-NASA" do you suppose that is Creed that they are
playing? Personally I hope that they play similar music to this during the
series. I think that makes them more human and a little closer to home.
