In fact, if they try to stop her from being an idiot, she may try a lot
harder to give them the slip, and that wouldn't be good for their job
security if she managed it.  They are there to protect her, not baby-sit
her. If she wants to be an idiot, as long as she doesn't put her life in
danger, they'll let her be an idiot.

I'm sure the agents are over 21.  I'm wondering what the arrangements
are if she's living in a University-run dorm.  

I don't think the agents really ought to buy for her for her to try to
drink illegally in her dorm room, but maybe someone else would.  I
wouldn't, but I knew people in college who would buy for underage folks
when they were legal. In fact, that's how I got all my alcohol in
college before my 21st birthday -- having someone over 21 buy for me,
and not being an idiot about how I consumed it.  (Unlike some folks I
could name, but I'm sure that those of us in the know would rather
forget about the worst offender on our floor....)
