I think John meant that they are 0-3 when they play on Oct. 31, that
specific date not their record to that date. But since they don't play
Oct. 31 this year, it's a Wednesday, it's a moot point. (and with
football, it's all about the points, not who wins or loses.)

And for our resident Netherlander: because JQA had become President even
though he had less votes, and less electoral votes, the southern
Democrats were seething and had four years of campaigning and awareness
to get Jackson voted in as president during the next election. Sound
familiar? (I know JQA was called republican, don't know if Jackson was
really called Democrats.)

Also, yes JQA did serve in the house for 17 years, in fact he died after
answering roll call on the house floor (well he had a stroke, his
second, and died two days later), but at first he didn't want to run for
the house, had to be convinced. Mostly he was a poor president, because
of the south and Jackson supporters were thwarting him every chance they
got, but was a great member of the House.

I think Taft is the only other President who really did something after
his term as president, he became the Supreme Court Chief Justice.
(Something Clinton wanted to do, at least it was stated early in his
second term before the whole 'blow' up with Monica).
