It is of course good to hear that the United States do not have plans to use
nuclear weapons (although it would not surprise me at all if the US would
use nuclear weapons anyway -- I am not exactly known on this list for
blindly believing everything the US government says).

I do not believe however that the US government or the Pentagon has not even
considered or discussed the use of nuclear weapons, as Rumsfeld claims. The
US *has* those weapons, so they certainly must have considered using them.
