Hockey here is played by both male and female team. The Australian Hockeyroos (male Olympic, etc team) are one of the top 3 or 4 international teams. The Matildas (female Olympic, etc team) won the gold medal at Sydney and did a damn fine calendar. Damn fine. <splashes self with cold water> > Also, in the Eastern United States, both sexes play lacrosse - > the national > game of the Iroquois Nation. > Lacrosse is played here too, a bit. I held a lacrosse - er, racquet? - once when at High School. Ranks about with baseball on the scale of games - that is, pretty low. Traditionally, here it is footy, or hockey in winter for boys, and hockey for girls. While in summer it is cricket or tennis for boys and netball or tennis for girls. Swimming, naturally, is also a major sport that is nowadays pretty much all year round. Basketball and volleyball have also picked up a lot over the last few years. Brett
