I think that you miss the point. Johnny Walker affirmatively declared
himself a member of Al Qaeda.
As it happens, I am a foreign affairs addict, so yes, I was familiar that
the Taliban was a terrorist State supporting bin Laden's campaign of terror
against the United States. I understand your point, however, that I was
in the minority.
I think there can be no question that Johnny Walker knew what he is doing.
He has affirmed himself as a member of Al Qaeda and affirmed the attacks
of September 11th. Those two statements are essentially a confession to
treason if there ever was one. Unless Walker intends to plead insanity
when he made those statements.
If that isn't enough, membership in the Taliban as a foreigner should be
sufficient to convict him of crimes against humanity.
