That sentence was a set-up for the next one. It was intended to make 
obvious that when I said "*any* crime" I did indeed mean *any* crime, not 
only crimes like murder. I guess that was lost on you.

The assumption that I would equate murder with stealing a bicycle is 
absolutely ridiculous.

But then, I have already become accustomed to people reading things in my 
posts that are not there...   :-(
