I see nothing wrong with it when said country thrice declared war on Israel
(the last time, doing so in a particularly reprehensible manner during a
religious day of atonement), and said country still refuses to sign a peace
treaty with Israel.
Earlier you compared this situation to Iraq. Saddam Hussein very quickly
submitted his unconditional surrender, and he pretty much got his country
left intact. Palestine, however, still refuses to sign a peace treaty
with Israel, and as such, it would be inappropriate of Israel to withdraw
their forces until such time as Palestine surrenders.
