When the US officially criticises Israel for an act of violence, what we hear on the news is information about the attack, followed by a one-liner saying that the US has criticised Israel for it. What we do hear about in more detail here are those instances where the US goes to great length to defend Israel and its actions. Instances like the US vetoing (sp) at least two UN Resolutions last year that ordered Israel to do things it would not be happy about.
