That is a problem that can easily be avoided: put those prisoners in a separate cell block, away from the American prisoners. If even a small country like The Netherlands can do it, surely a big country like the US can do it? Over here, we keep sex offenders (rapists, child molesters and similar scum) away from other prisoners to protect them from other prisoners. IIRC, we also keep the suspects of war crimes (like Milosevic) in Scheveningen prison separate from other prisoners.
