Well, yes.  That's why I slept on the idea rather than post it last night.
But the awfullest fan fiction tends to fall into certain categories that
I'm pretty sure we can avoid.  I'm not interested in anything very
serious, or deeply emotional, or slashy, or where we try to rewrite DB's
universe.  I'm thinking of stories that focus on the characters, treating
them with humor and affection, while showing them trying to solve the
problems that we might normally expect to come up in the course of their
trying to get home.  The tone should be light, perhaps occasionally
melodramatic for effect in a self-aware kind of way.
