True, but those companies didn't give the Nazis a way to control the very technologies that they were founded on. It sounds like iCognito and the rest are all but offering the Chinese the keys to the company washroom. Which is not to say that what IBM and the rest did was any better than what Yahoo is doing now (no doubt it was much worse), but when companies start taking orders from the red army (or whomever), those corps are starting to slide down a very slippery slope.
