But do we really want to spend China into the ground? Look at what happened 
when we spent the Soviet Union into the ground. It eventually brought war 
to the Balkan, Russia is not exactly a shining example of a stable country, 
and it is essentially run by the Russian Maffia.

If we now spent China into the ground, it could very well lead to wars in 
the region (even within China, when provinces want to become independent), 
and the post-communist China being run by the Chinese Maffia.
