Would you have preferred if the United States had not won the Cold War? This is what you seem to be implying. Dan M. Also, as a professional Russia specialist, let me strongly disagree with this characterization of Russia. While the present Russian government is not ideal, it has nonetheless managed an 8% economic growth rate, seems to have made some progress in cutting down on crime and corruption, and is slowly reestablishing a strong central government. Russia is not by any means perfect, but Russia's future now is brighter than it has ever been, precisely _because_ it lost the Cold War. Gautam
