In an ideal world, I'd want better.  But, I entertained a Russian in my
house for two weeks about 5 years after the fall of the Soviet Union.  He
thought things were better for him and his family after the fall.  My guess
is that if the Chinese government fell in a similar manner, it would be
considered a plus by the people afterwards too.

I don't mean to be unpleasant about this, but the war in the Balkins was not
inevitable. It may have been a mistake for the US to keep a hands off
policy, but we were asked and it seemed reasonable at the time.
