A difference on how to measure it. :-)  JDG wanted to consider what one
would take in exchange for giving up one's life.  I wanted to determine how
much one would spend to eliminate a 1 in 10,000 per year chance of dying.
I think the rule of thumb from what people are willing to spend is about
$500, but it varies from person to person.
