I was comparing the German goal of having a place to live for their own people with the Israeli goal of having a place to live for their own people. There is no mention of Palestinians or a right of return in that equation (and neither is there any mention of The Netherlands). I wonder how many more times I will have to explain what I meant, before people stop seeing things that are not there. :-( > Finally, the ability of the Arab citizens of Israel to live as a > respected minority does indeed prove that Arabs and Jews can live > together in a system where the Jews have the political power. Why should we use the ruthlessness of Arab leaders as an excuse to disallow Arabs a right to return to Israel, when we have supported other, ruthless non-Arab dictators? > One notes that most of the people in Arab countries have been fed lies > about Jewish people their whole lives. That overwhelming support can also be explained as the Palestinians being so fed up with living under Israeli occupation that they now consider all means to gain freedom to be legitimate.
