Perhaps the creationists are correct. If you assume that consciousness is
required to "collapse the quantum wave", our race may have not actually
reached the required threshold limit of consciousness until 6000 years ago,
thereby 'collapsing the wave'. Until then the universe was a probability,
borrowed from the vaccuum.

Existence came into existence as perhaps Adam opened his eyes and saw the
garden, which in effect started a collapsing wavefront, as particles 'came
out of hiding' and decided they wanted to be counted. Fossils, carbon
14...etc, etc, are merely artifacts from the vaccuum... snapshots in a way
of what was real but not real.

...or not.... ;-)
