Well, the attitude of folks in the White House aside, how do we know how
the private conversations went down?  I mean, if the folks that the
White House was talking to brought up the possibility of a coup first
and the White House response was, "You'd better not," that's different
than if someone in the White House mentioned the possibility of a coup
first.

I've probably stated that very badly.  Can someone read my mind and do a
better job of saying what I wanted to say?  :)
