Julia replied: >How would you prefer to be described? How would you describe yourself? As a general description, the one above is pretty accurate, but it does leave out the areas where I am more of a conservative. On some fiscal issues (but not all), I'm pretty far to the right. On other fiscal issues and most social issues, I tend to be mid-left. Except for areas where I feel strongly libertarian... :-) I know that sounds pretty wishy-washy, but it really just comes from having my own particular view of the world that is pretty self-consistent, but not particularly consistent with any of the prevailing political orthodoxies in the US. I think that probably all of us, regardless of whether we are liberal, conservative or other, want basically the same things, have basically the same goals. We want a country that is safe. We want a country where we can pursue the things that make us happy, personally and economically. Most of us probably believe that our country can make a positive difference in the world. We just all have different opinions as to the appropriate paths to take to reach those goals. For some of those paths, I side with Democrats; for some, Republicans; for some, Libertarians; for a few, various versions of the Green Party or other parties. I probably lean most towards the paths the Democrats take, followed by Libertarian and Republican running almost neck and neck with Libertarians having a slight lead, followed buy bits and pieces of others. Thanks for asking. You? :-) Reggie Bautista _________________________________________________________________ Join the worlds largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com
