It is infinitly harder to make copies of games for these new systems: size. A person could find any rom from any cartridge based system and download it within minutes (I am not advocating anything illegal). To do that with a PSX disc would difficult. It would take the average person several days to download each disc. It is much easer to just buy the disc. FYI some games are much better under Epsxe because of the vastly improved graphics (superior grx cards / monitors + Large textures in the games themselves (that get downsampled when played normally) + filtering).
