Part of my complaint about the article - they're criticizing the movie
based on things that aren't true (dialogue, who the "bad guy" is, etc)

Hmmm.. first blush - you bet.  Jango is presented as a talented,
intelligent guy, who, I might add, kicks Obi Wan's butt.  Jar Jar is
presented as having all the characteristics of a racially charged
character, and is in no way important or integral to the story - he's
there as comic relief, and what is presented as comic about him is his
funny accent, slippery strut, and buffonish nature.
