According to you, we should allow people to say anything they want in any way they want. How long do you think Brin-L would last? Once we allow really everything (from cussing to sexually explicit posts to flame wars) this list will rapidly deteriorate into a group like so many Usenet groups. Those of us who want to be part of a civilised community will see themselves forced to leave, essentially killing Brin-L. Basically, you are denying civilised people their right to be part of a community where they can have civilised discussions without having their community disrupted.
