I agree that space isn't a problem.

I do wonder about energy, however. If every one of 6B people used as
much energy as a typical upper-middle class American, then how long
would the environment support us (natural resources, pollution, etc.)?

I'm definitely not advocating any population reduction measures. But I
do think that energy conservation and renewable energy research is a
good idea.
